Be Honest — Be Engaged — Be Connected — Be Heard — Be Inclusive — Be Generous — Be Curious — Be Brave — B8

Long hailed as one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies, King Lear tells twin stories of families torn asunder: one of King Lear and his three daughters, and another of the Earl of Gloucester and his two sons. In these intertwined stories, the sins of greed, lust, and betrayal are pitted against the virtues of loyalty, love, and devotion until the stage is literally strewn with bodies from both families. A savvy portrait of the dangers of unchecked hubris in men of power, King Lear has as much to say to the America of today, as it did to the England of Shakespeare's day.
